Before changing the location of any product audit file, make sure that there is adequate disk space on the disk volume to where the audit file will be moved.
To change the location of a XYGATE host product audit file, you must do the following:
1. Edit the xxCONF file on the node where the audit file location will change. Modify the following line as
follows:
Change:
AUDIT $<oldvol>.XYGATExx.AUDIT
To
AUDIT $<newvol>.XYGATETR.AUDIT
Where xx = The two character XYPRO product code, e.g. AC, UA, PQ, etc.
$<oldvol> is the existing audit file disk volume name
$<newvol> is the new audit file disk volume name
2. If XMA is installed and already has mover(s) for the product at issue configured, an additional mover for that product should be added to begin processing the audit from the new location. This is because the existing mover may still be processing audit from the old audit file(s). The existing mover(s) can be stopped and deleted once it is certain that all audit records from the old audit file location have been processed.
Logon as the XMA owner and:
a. run $<vol>.xygatema.xma install $<vol> is the disk name where XMA is installed)
b. xma_manager
c. Option 2, Movers
d. Option 7, Add (All Steps)
e. Option 1, XYGATE
f. Select the option that corresponds to the XYPRO product for which a second mover must be added
Enter the new mover name, e.g. XTR-PRX1-02
g. Answer Y to whether the server will collect data and issue alerts
The following options will be displayed:
To modify any of the items below choose an option otherwise select R to continue :
1: XYGATE product Code : yyy
2: XYGATE node :\<node>
3: XYGATE volume :$<vol>
4: XYGATE subvolume :XYGATExx
5: Primary audit file :
6: XYGATE audit file mask :
7: Audit file code :3333
X: Exit from this menu
R: Run
Where:
"yyy" is the three character XYPRO product code, e.g. XAC, XOS, etc.
\<node> is the desired node name
$<vol> is the disk volume where the particular XYPRO product was installed.
"Xx" is the two character XYPRO product code, e.g. AC for XAC, OS for XOS, etc.
Select Option 5 and enter the vol/subvol location for the product audit file, that you specified in the xxCONF file, e.g. $XYPRO.XYGATETR to specify the audit file location for an XTR installation.
If you are satisfied with the location entered and all other options, enter R at the prompt to save the changes.
Once the mover has been added, it must be started. From the Movers menu:
a. Option 5, Start
b. Option 1, XYGATE. Enter the new product mover name at the prompt, e.g. XTR-PRX1-02
c. Enter the time, in yyyy-mm-dd hh:mn:ss format where you would like processing to begin. if the default time is acceptable, just hit <ENTER>
d. Check the status of the mover using Option 4 of the Movers menu.
