XSW: How to create a XSW GUI installation log.

All steps are not needed if upgrading. They are only needed if the installed PC version is the same we need an installation log file for. This gives good information for a complete re-installation.
  1. Completely uninstall XSW from this PC using the Control Panel.
  2. Then go into the C:\Users\pcusername\AppData\Local\XYPRO and rename the XYGATESW folder or delete it completely.
  3. Make sure you are logged onto the PC as an administrator
  4. Locate the XWGinst.exe file.
  5. Open a command prompt (dos window) and navigate to where the XWGinst.exe file resides.
  6. At the prompt, enter XWGINST.EXE /v?/l*v C:\xsw290instlog.txt?   You can change the location of the xsw290instlog.txt file to where you prefer.
  7. Send us the xsw290instlog.txt file
  8. Send us the output from the dos prompt for SYSTEMINFO
  9. Open the XSW GUI (as an administrator) and let the GUI finish the install with the DB creation step and accepting all the defaults. Start the connection etc.
  10. Make the changes to the email address under the User Preferences window when it pops up.
  11. Connect to the NonStop and run a minimum collection.
  12. When the collection is in the ?Ready? state, start the load please.
