XUA: RADIUS AUTHENTIATION - User is prompted to enter a Safeguard password when XUA configuration settings indicate that they should be prompted for only a RADIUS password

1. Is the Radius server down?    If not, proceed to step 2.

2. Was there a recent upgrade from a pre-XUA 2.40 version to XUA 2.40 or higher?

If yes:

If RADIUS authentication is used and this is a new XUA 2.40 or higher installation,  XUA must be installed on a physical drive, not a virtual drive and a symbolic link to the Java library must be added.   If XUA/Radius is already installed and this is an upgrade from a pre-XUA 2.40 version to XUA 2.40 or higher, then the symbolic link the the Java library must be added for Radius authentication to work. Please see the "XYGATE User Authentication (XUA) 2.40 (or higher) Reference Manual, Chapter 15, Configuring RADIUS Interface" for more information on how to add the symbolic link.
