XS1: "License status cannot be determine" error at logon prompt

XS1: "License status cannot be determine" error at logon prompt

This may happen if there is a password mismatch. A logon is required to verify the license is valid. If that logon fails, a message will be displayed indicating the license status cannot be determined.

To resolve this, the XTR user and password can be updated by running "run.installer.bat" as administrator and entering the updated credentials. Detailed steps below:

1. Log onto the Application Server
2. with the Windows File Explorer, go to the location C:\xs1\libraries\scripts
3. Right-Click on the 'run.installer.bat' and select 'Run as Administrator'
4. Select option 3 to Configure the XTR Connection (see screenshot below for reference)
5. From there, select option 1 to Configure XTR user, enter in the userID that they use to logon to the Nonstop for XS1
* Select password authentication (1)
* Enter the new password for the user
6. Return to the main menu of the installer script
7. Select option 7 to Start/Restart Windows Services
