XS1: How to generate a new SSL certificate for version 1.70

Following are the instructions to generate the new SSL cert:

  1. The new certificate should be generated in PKCS12 format
  2. Ensure the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) contains the domain/DNS name used to connect to the XS1 website.
  3. Contact XYPRO Support for a script to place on the XS1 app server
  4. Download the script supplied by XYPRO Support in Step 3 to the XS1 application server.  Remove the .txt extension (The .txt extension will allow the attachment to bypass any email filter of .bat files)
  5. Place the PKCS12 keystore with the new certificate on the application server.
  6. Run the .bat file as Administrator, from the XS1 service account.
  7. When prompted, enter the full path to the PKCS12 file.
  8. When prompted, enter the password to the PKCS12 file.
  9. The contents will be listed, with the name of the certificate (alias).
  10. When prompted, enter the name printed out previously
  11. The certificate should then be imported into XS1.
  12. Restart the XS1 MiddleTier service to see the changes.
