XS1: How to generate a new SSL certificate for version 1.70
Following are the instructions to generate the new SSL cert:
- The new certificate should be generated in PKCS12 format
- Ensure the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) contains the domain/DNS name used to connect to the XS1 website.
- Contact XYPRO Support for a script to place on the XS1 app server
- Download the script supplied by XYPRO Support in Step 3 to the XS1 application server. Remove the .txt extension (The .txt extension will allow the attachment to bypass any email filter of .bat files)
- Place the PKCS12 keystore with the new certificate on the application server.
- Run the .bat file as Administrator, from the XS1 service account.
- When prompted, enter the full path to the PKCS12 file.
- When prompted, enter the password to the PKCS12 file.
- The contents will be listed, with the name of the certificate (alias).
- When prompted, enter the name printed out previously
- The certificate should then be imported into XS1.
- Restart the XS1 MiddleTier service to see the changes.
