Is there is a way to temporarily set SAFEGUARD to allow all access to a volume while the XOS exit-process is disabled
Add a volume ACL to allow everybody access for R, W, E, P, C to all files on the volume. By having a VOLUME ACL during a planned interruption in XOS processes will not terminate with an security violation.
Prior to disabling XOS make sure that all files on the volume are protected by XOS rules within the OSACL. Add Safecom Volume record.
SAFECOM
INFO SAFEGUARD and check that CHECK-VOLUME is set to ON.
ADD VOLUME $<VOL>, ACCESS \*.*.* (R,W,E,P,C)
where $<VOL > is the name of the impacted volume.
Disable XOS using the XOS_SAFECOM_DISABLE command. While XOS is disabled Safeguard rules on access to the volume using the VOLUME ACL.
After the planned outage, enable XOS using the XOS_SAFECOM_ENABLE.
