How to make XAC work with NSDEE

XAC 6.25 or higher is required for XAC and NSDEE.  This is because the NSDEEREG file is included with this version and is required for NSDEE support when telnet or SSH is configured to use XAC.

To configure NSDEE with XAC is installed, proceed as follows:


1. FUP DUP the file NSDEEREG from the location of the XYGATEAC installation, e.g. $SYSTEM.XYGATEAC to $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.NSDEEREG.

2. Configure the Telnet or SSH service for XAC as normal\

Note:  The PARAM setting in both the TACL and OSS configurations for both Telnet and SSH  must be the name of a valid XAC command ientry n the ACACL file.

3.  The network connection to the NonStop host(s) must be added to the NSDEE GUI

4.  To configure SSH/SFTP settings in the NSDEE GUI, navigate to the Secure Shell Settings screen and input the desired information:

     If not configuring SSH/SFTP, skip this step.


5. To configure Telnet/FTP settings in the NSDEE GUI, navigate to the Telnet/FTP Settings screenand input the desired information:

     Example:

     

     For Telnet sessions, the "Service or Window Name" field must contain the name of the Telnet service configure in Step 2.
